Nimrod Ebenezer C. Tica has been ministering as a pastor since 1996. An ordained minister of Higher Ground Baptist Missions, Inc., he serves as a member of the pastoral staff of Malabon International Baptist Church. After graduating from the International School of Theology–Asia (now IGSL), Nimrod joined IGSL as an adjunct faculty in 1999 and became full-time faculty in 2008. He has served at IGSL as Associate Executive Director, Dean of Faculty, and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Nimrod desires to teach theology for life transformation. For him, it is important to think critically through theological issues with fellow believers with a goal to see life-change, which eventually leads to societal impact. He sees theology as an indispensable aspect of fulfilling the Great Commission. He understands the importance of teaching theology as a means “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Eph. 4:12).
Nimrod is married to Vivian, and they have four lovely daughters, Samantha Caasi, Yvanna Vien, Pia Janaea, and Emmanuelle Reigne. He enjoys spending quality time with his family as well as playing sports like basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and chess.
