IGSL is a Donee Institution Certified by BIR
IGSL, having been re-accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) in November 2020 for another five years, was granted the donee institution status* by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) valid until February 5, 2025. The BIR Certificate of Registration entitles donors of IGSL to exemption from donor’s tax and tax-deduction of contributions from individual or corporate donors’ gross income.
*A donee institution is a non-stock, non-profit corporation or non-government organization, to which donations are wholly tax deductible from gross income of the donor or exempt from donor’s tax in accordance with Section 34(h) and 101 of Republic Act 8424 otherwise known as “Tax Reform Act of 1997”
