Dr. Mona Bias presently teaches Biblical Studies courses. She has been a Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ missionary for more than 28 years. She was part-time faculty member from 1992 to 2003, and has since then served as full-time professor and Iron Sharpening Group (ISG) leader at IGSL.

She has presented a good number of papers at various theological institutions, including the Asian Theological Seminary Forums, the Society of Biblical Literature Forum in Singapore, the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Hong Kong, and The Institute for Studies with Asian Church and Culture(ISACC).

As someone who enjoys research and writing, Dr. Bias co-founded the Rootword Writer’s Fellowship with Dr. Rod Santos and Dr. Federico Villanueva. Her published articles delve into Christianity and ethnic culture. She has written three published books, namely A Commentary on the Book of Job (as co-author), A Shawl over Me, and Finding God in the Scriptures.

She has also presented seminars on the Book of Job during alumni gatherings at the IGSL campus and in Thailand. After the onslaught of typhoon Yolanda, she offered the same seminar to pastors and workers in Tacloban.

Like Jesus Christ, the Master Teacher and Model, she teaches to change lives – hers and her students’. She finds joy in seeing them develop into leaders who will be used tremendously by God for His glory.

Dr. Bias is from Benguet in Northern Luzon. When she’s not teaching or writing, she enjoys traveling, ministering to folks in the province, composing songs, hiking, and gardening.
