Before coming to IGSL, Mary Michelle Gumogda-Agustin worked in advertising until end of 1991. She then worked as Project Coordinator in ISOT-Asia (now known as IGSL) to help promote the seminary.  Her life took a turn in 1993 when she left for the US to help take care of her cancer-stricken father. Returning to the Philippines in 1995, she married Eric and joined Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ to serve as full-time faculty in IGSL.

Michelle has been teaching and mentoring wives in IGSL’s Partners in Ministry (PIM) program since 2002. Currently, she also coordinates the PIM ESL (English as a Second Language) program and is a member of the PIM Leadership Team. She is committed to mentor women in IGSL to help nurture and equip them towards spiritual maturity and fruitfulness in their God-given roles.

Her life pursuit is to serve God so that the coming generations will know, love, and follow Jesus. This is why Michelle also involves herself in ministries outside IGSL where she can disciple children and teens. She also teaches women in their church, trains Sunday school teachers, and joins her husband in teaching marriage classes and leading Bible studies.

Homeschooling one of their sons in 2011 to 2013 increased Michelle’s appreciation for education. Her other training experiences include teachers’ seminars, finishing a certificate program in Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in 2000, and finishing a certificate program in Asia’s Center for TESOL (ACT) in 2013.

Michelle is from Quezon City, Philippines. She and Eric are blessed with three sons, Nathan, Timothy and Noah. She has an on-off love for writing. She contributes articles to the online magazine, Family Wise Asia http://www.familywiseasia.com/. She also enjoys reading blogs, Christian biographies and Christian living books, watching TED Talks, and baking and cooking new recipes.
