In God’s arena, losses pave the way for boundless gain. Despite the current situation, we look forward with excitement and hope to the upcoming academic year 2020-2021. Our mission and vision remain the same! But our understanding of that mission and vision is now being pruned for deeper growth and commitment. And we are geared up to work to see increased impact towards our mission and vision for God’s glory.
We, the faculty are becoming learners in new ways so we can teach more effectively than ever before. We are not just adding online teaching skills to our teaching toolboxes, but we are being stretched to become better educators and mentors, as our energies are focused on our students and their contexts like never before. We are casting the vision that 2020-2021 is our groundwork for the future. While we adapt to the needs of the moment, our eyes of faith are directed towards IGSL’s impact beyond 2021. We need to catalyze a future where IGSL is accessible to more students than ever before, throughout Asia and the world. It’s hard to think of expansion in lean times and maybe even unwise in some situations. But we believe IGSL has opportunities to significantly broaden and deepen its reach. We’re exploring many strategies to scale our training residentially and online and positioning ourselves to partner with others for increased life transformation and Great Commission impact.
So, IGSL’s faculty and staff are excited about what’s ahead. We will be ready to offer the 2020-2021 school year online as a new and creative expression of the same mission we’ve always been committed to – training servant-steward leaders for strategic impact in the Great Commission in Asia. We would love your prayers as we continue to adapt and learn for this unique season and new opportunities for impact in the future!
