Dear friends,

We praise God for opening doors for the expansion of His Kingdom! The Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting (S.W.I.M.), a values transformation program at the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), was launched on September 27.

In an exciting turn of events, the invited high-profile main speaker was not able to attend, so IGSL President Emeritus Dr. Tom Roxas was informed minutes before the start of the program that he would speak instead. “Was I nervous?” was an understatement according to Dr. Roxas, but God calmed his heart and reminded him that God created him for this. He passionately challenged the 1,050 PNPA cadets to be the change that our country badly needs and that this is possible only through having a personal relationship with God. The speech was warmly received and interrupted by applause a number of times.

Two key generals who are followers of Christ lead this movement within PNPA, the current Director Police Brigadier General Samuel Nacion and Retired General Benigno Durana. Both are products of IGSL ministries at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and PNPA.

For 52 weeks, the PNPA cadets will go through leadership development and discipleship. PNPA Chaplain Pastor Bernard Horiondo, together with volunteers from IGSL, local churches, and Christian organizations, will facilitate the leadership mentoring groups. The first S.W.I.M. session was conducted on October 4.

AFP officer second-year IGSL student John Paul Pida shares his knowledge and experience with PNPA cadets during the first S.W.I.M. session.

Fourth-year IGSL student from Myanmar Hla Saing takes part in mentoring future leaders of the Philippines.

Business leader third-year IGSL student Ernie Almario invests in the lives of PNPA cadets so that they can be agents of transformation.

Join us in praying for this ministry, dear ministry partners:

Yours for the fulfillment of the Great Commission,
Dr. Cris Uy
IGSL President
