Dr. Adam W. Day joined the IGSL faculty in June 2017. Presently, he is the Graduate Studies Director and teaches in the Biblical Studies Department. He co-leads an Iron Sharpening Group with Andrew Heyd.
He has been a missionary with WorldVenture since 2014. He was an Adjunct Professor at Biola University from 2007 to 2011 and at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015. After which, he returned to Biola and taught for a year before coming to the Philippines. Dr. Day also served at churches in various capacities such as youth ministry volunteer, trainer for counselors, and pulpit minister.
Dr. Day has written a book entitled Jesus, the Isaianic Servant: Quotations and Allusions in the Gospel of John (Gorgias Press). He has also published articles in Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society and Presbyterion and presented papers at the Evangelical Theological Society annual meetings. He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, Society of Biblical Literature, and Institute of Biblical Research.
He desires to help pastors and ministry leaders understand the story of the Bible, so they can find their place in God’s redemptive mission and tell others about Jesus and his redemptive work on their behalf. His prayer is that students would grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and their love of Jesus Christ.
Dr. Adam Day is married to Anna, and they are blessed with two sons, Luke and Caleb. He enjoys watching baseball and American football, as well as playing volleyball and swimming. In his spare time, he exercises, reads, watches movies, and spends time with family.
