Bible Backgrounds

Course Overview

This course will help strengthen your understanding of Scripture in light of their geographical, socio-political, and religious background. Understanding the importance of knowing the “world behind the text” will encourage you to carefully research the appropriate context of understanding, interpreting, and applying Scripture in a world where truth is relativized, and meaning is dictated by self. As you seek to grow in your accuracy of handling Scriptures, you then help the people of God handle God’s word with the attention and care it deserves.
