Dear friends,

“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” (1 Thess. 5:24, NASB) Our almighty and faithful God has done amazing things and we couldn’t help but declare His greatness! He continues to work through His people who humbly submit to Him and do His will. And it is with great joy and gratitude that we share these updates and prayer requests with you.

Praise God for the 37 graduates of the Class of 2022 representing 13 countries in Asia and Africa. We now have our first-ever graduates from Nigeria. And we eagerly anticipate how God will bring true transformation where He called each of these leaders to serve.

We also received exciting news about two of our alumni.

Col. Ernest John Jadloc (MA in Transformational Leadership, 2011) of the Philippine Army was awarded for his study on innovation for safe and effective close air support operations. He graduated earlier this month with the degree of MS in Defense Analysis from the US Naval Post Graduate School in California. Starting July, Col. Jadloc will be assigned to the Special Operations Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

Dr. Neil Allan Ty (Master of Divinity, 1998) is the newly appointed President of the Biblical Seminary of the Philippines. A holder of PhD in New Testament Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr. Ty also serves as Executive Director of the Institute for Biblical Linguistics Exploration and Regional Director of the Chinese Christian Fellowship International.

We pray that God would raise up more leaders like them who are in positions of influence to bring lasting change through the Gospel. Pray also for the new batch of students we are welcoming–that they will arrive safely and adjust well to life in IGSL and in the Philippines.

Before classes start in August, the IGSL faculty and employees will have a 3-day retreat and re-orientation. Please pray for program participants and organizers as they prepare and facilitate. May this be a time for our faculty and employees to be refreshed in God’s presence, reconnect with one another, and be reignited in our calling to train servant-steward leaders.

As we face the second half of 2022, “may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thess. 5:23, NASB) Do let us know how we can intercede for you specifically, dear ministry partners.

Yours for the fulfillment of the Great Commission,
Dr. Cris Uy
IGSL President
