Dr. Lizette F. Knight, D.Min, Ph.D is an educator through and through, equipping others in education, evangelism, discipleship and missions both through her published works and teaching in and outside the classroom locally and internationally. She is a current Seminar and Workshop Facilitator at the Church Strengthening Ministry, Inc. and had over twenty years of experience in the academe prior to joining IGSL. While her undergraduate is in the field of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Knight had a special affinity to education. She started as a Preschool Teacher at Naylor Children’s Center, Fort Worth, Texas USA in 1993 and from 1995 -1998, and was a visiting Professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2006-2007. She was a long-time Professor at Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary and Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary from 2000-2015, and has held distinct roles in the same institution, namely: Associate Dean from 2004-2005, and Dean from 2009-2012. In 2014, Dr. Knight was named Endowed Professor of Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary with highest ranking. She served as Professor at the same institution from 2000-2015, served as the Field Education Director from 2000-2009, and Director of Seminary Education by Extension from 2008-2010.
She brings with her over two decades of expertise as a Statistician with the use of SPSS Software, and Consultant for Thesis and Dissertation writing (from prospectus to final paper). Her published works have also been greatly used in equipping for the ministry. She has written multiple articles both locally and Internationally related to teaching and ministry, and she has authored and co-authored a number of books! Her most recent book was How to Start Senior Adults Ministry CSM, 2019. In the same year, So Special: Special Education in Christian Perspective (Self-published, 2019) was written together with her husband, Dr. Michael Scott Knight, and Dr. Alexander Arceno. A number of her works are with CSM Publishing, namely: Bible Teaching Made Easy (translated to conversational Tagalog) CSM 2016; Ministry Planning Made Easy (translated to conversational Tagalog), CSM 2016; Bible Teaching Made Easy CSM, 2015; Ministry Planning Made Easy CSM, 2014; Seminary Education by Extension with Dr. Deron Biles, CSM, 2014; Maximum Learning and Teaching: Transformation in the Classroom, CSM, 2011; Teacher Care: Proper Holistic Wellness with Dr. Ann Windus, CSM, 2010 and A2Z Creative Teaching Methods with Dr. Sonia Silbor CSM, 2006.
Dr. Lizette Knight sees herself as having a www role: wife, worker (worker for the Lord) and writer. Dr. Lizette and her husband, Dr. Michael Knight, are serving as Full time Professors. They both enjoy writing, travelling and walking. They first met at SWBTS in Fort Worth, Texas during their regular walking exercise.
