IGSL FACULTY MEMBER SINCE 1989
Steve Hobson brings to the school almost 10 years in various church leadership roles (staff member, church planter, senior pastor, district board member). He and his wife Jan had the privilege of being part of IGSL from its last struggling year in Baguio City, through its remarkable recovery all the way to today. Steve has served in various positions including the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. He has taught in the practical theology department, but in recent years has focused on leadership courses. He helped design and guide two IGSL doctoral programs (DMin in Transformational Leadership and DMin/PhD in Peace Studies). He co-led IGSL’s 2006 curriculum revision.

Steve and Jan have two grown boys and four grandchildren all living in America. Their favorite vacation, however, is snorkeling in the West Philippine Sea. Steve’s favorite music besides contemporary worship is smooth jazz. Steve says “My heart beats to serve Christ as a faithful servant-steward leader, giving Him a good return on his investment in me. My focus is on developing leaders and workers for the world-wide kingdom harvest.” After serving IGSL for more than 35 years in the Philippines, Steve and Jan now serve virtually from their home in the U.S.
