Dr. Rod Santos has been in the ministry since 1991. He helped plant a church in Naga City where he became the founding pastor.  As part of the staff of Phil. Campus Crusade for Christ, he is a trainer and speaker with Global Aid Network and Global Church Movement, and an adjunct professor for East Asia School of Theology – Singapore and International Graduate School of Leadership where he used to serve as department chairman. He is an on-call counselor for IGSL and PCCC and a pulpit minister at Greenhills Christian Fellowship – West. With his wife Malou, he leads contemplative retreats, as well as provide spiritual direction and care for people with sexual and relational brokenness through Living Waters Philippines. He speaks in conferences, appears as a resource speaker in talk shows on TV, and co-hosts a radio program over DZAS entitled “Panahon ng Paghilom sa Heartline.”

He earned his Masters of Divinity degree from IGSL (with high honors) and Doctor of Ministry degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, USA. He is a Birkman certified trainer with Birkman USA, a master teacher with WorldTeach Philippines, and a member of i-CARE, a research-based disaster response committee under a joint project of Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), World Evangelical Alliance, and the Humanitarian Disaster Institute at Wheaton College.

He wrote the book Turned Off by Church: What Hurts People and What Would Heal Them and a dissertation entitled “Renewal in the Philippine Context: Philippine Culture Interacts with Scripture and Reformed Theology towards Personal and Church Renewal.”

As a counselor, pastor, teacher and retreat master, Dr. Santos seeks to heighten Christian leadership by focusing on deepening the contemplative life and ushering people to meet God in areas of personal brokenness in order for them to firm up their soul and practice authentic leadership.

The couple is blessed with two daughters, Charity Grace and Bethel Joy. Carpentry, landscaping, mountaineering, running, and biking are some of the things he enjoys during his spare time.
