Rev. Dr. Leo Armas is an ordained minister, who has been serving full-time in the ministry for more than 29 years. Presently, he is an adjunct professor and counselor at IGSL. He is also the spiritual director of Companion With The Poor (CWTP); trainer and counselor for CWTP workers; and a board member of Jireh-Jethro Foundation.

His past ministry involvements include being on staff with Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ (PCCC), a missionary with Torchbearers, and pastor of Word Community Church. As a counselor, he specializes in individual and marriage counseling/psychotherapy. He also facilitates silent retreats, and gives spiritual direction.

Dr. Leo Armas believes that solitude and silence, as well as community, are necessary to our spiritual journey. He values living from his authentic self—the self that God has redeemed for freedom for the sake of learning what it means to love others for the glory of God our Father, and as an expression of the gospel Jesus calls us to proclaim to the farthest ends of the earth.

Dr. Armas is originally from Baguio City. He is married to Ammi, and they have three grown children–Camille, Mark and Michael. He loves running, and has joined several 21-Km runs. He also has two marathons under his belt.
