Ron Barber mentors students in the areas of leadership and ministry contextualization. He joined the IGSL faculty after 23 years of church planting in Japan with The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) and three years of teaching at Eastwest College of Intercultural Studies in New Zealand. Aside from being a missionary, he is an ordained minister of Columbia Evangelical Church.

He is married to Amy Barber, and they have three grown children, Natasha, Stephanie, and Justin, as well as four grandchildren. In his free time, Ron enjoys playing any type of sports, especially basketball.
