January 2025
Dear friends,
As the clock struck twelve and you welcomed 2025 surrounded by loved ones, when you woke up on the first morning of the year, or as the sun set on the first few days of the year, what was in your heart? Do you wonder what God has in his heart for you? For all people?
From January 13-24, IGSL hosted KAIROS, a course on world Christian mission that reveals God’s heart for all people. He desires to use His church to reach cultures with few or no indigenous churches. This is part of our commitment to developing a vision for reaching the world for Christ in our students. Students and staff participated in the course facilitated by our friends from SEND Philippines, a missions agency mobilizing people and engaging the unreached to establish reproducing churches.

Here are some highlights from the participants:
Reflecting on my journey, I realize how often I have been a reluctant messenger, hesitant to fully step into God’s purpose. Yet, I am in awe of His unwavering faithfulness and unchanging desire to see all nations come to salvation. Kairos has reminded me that despite my shortcomings, God’s mission is steadfast, and He continues to invite me to play a part in His redemptive plan for the world. Praise God for His love, faithfulness, and the privilege to join Him in His mission! -Gilbert Copada, Staff/Alumni

As I plan for a short-term mission trip to Laos, this course has helped me recognize potential barriers like “Reluctant Barrier” and the preparations required for the journey. It has significantly expanded my understanding and perspective on missions. I was once a mobilizer and welcomer but I am now excited to become a goer! -Bijaya Dangol, Student
Through Kairos, I learned that goers, senders, welcomers, and mobilizers are equally important; none is superior nor inferior. I also realized that there is one more thing I could teach our son: to pray for unreached people groups (UPGs). My desire for the future is to have a house that will be a house of prayer where churches can have retreats and pray for UPGs in a specifically designed prayer room. -Mary Jean Aldea, Staff/Alumni
Whether as a goer, sender, mobilizer, or welcomer, do you see yourself as a vital part of God’s plan to bless all nations? As a ministry partner of IGSL, you are a sender who prays and gives for the mission. God could bring the Great Commission to fulfillment, but He chose to do it with and through us, His children. What a privilege to partner with the Lord of all nations!
To whom will you share this incredible gift of partaking in God’s plan for all people?
Yours for the fulfillment of the Great Commission,
Dr. Cris Uy
IGSL President
